As the sun sets,there appears a beautiful wonder line over the Shivalik ranges. This line is known as winter line. People say such a phenomenon is witnessed in just two parts around the globe, Mussoorie and Switzerland.
During the months of November and December, the ‘winter line’ starts forming. It appears when sun starts setting and the horizon gets lit up in different hues like red, orange, purples and mauve.
The colours of the line in the sky deepen as winter sets in. But interestingly, this disappears during snow fall.
